Bob Rennie began his career as a realtor and established himself by giving each client the same care and attention he would give his family and friends. Early on, his signature was handwritten thank-you notes and his hallmark was uncompromising work ethic. Today, at over 200 individuals, we still operate under the same philosophy—building our business with trust, knowledge and a personal touch.

  1. Bob Rennie gets his real estate license. Ever the service-minded host, he also gets his bartending license that same year.

  2. With seven agents and an office in North Vancouver, rennie & Associates Realty officially opens its doors.

  3. Bob works with UBC professor Dan Ulinder to market condos at Augusta Grove, Burnaby, selling all 88 in just two weeks.

  4. A first-ever in North America, the Residences at Georgia sell out through pre-sales.

  5. With the help of four employees, Bob creates rennie Marketing Systems, offering a new suite of expanded services to meet the needs of developers.

  6. Opening an office in Seattle, Washington, rennie Marketing Systems expands internationally.

    Bob’s son, Kris Rennie, joins the company to grow the Real Estate Services division.

  7. Bob delivers his first address to the Urban Development Institute AGM. After this speech, the annual event sells out for 13 consecutive years.

  8. In one day, 400 units in the iconic Woodward's Building sell out, revitalizing the Downtown Eastside with social housing and SFU School for Arts.

  9. With seven advisors catering to the single family and multifamily resale market, rennie & Associates Realty is re-established.

    Olympic Village launches, one of the most sustainable and energy-efficient neighbourhoods in the world. Today, it is a thriving, vibrant and much sought-after place to live.

  10. Taking up residence in their new home in Chinatown, rennie Marketing Systems and rennie & Associates Realty relocate to the historic Wing Sang Building.

    Bob shares his passion for art with the public, opening a privately funded museum. The rennie Museum provides educational programs and welcomes visitors for free.

  11. The Amazing Brentwood launches—a master planned community on 28 acres of land. All 854 units of the first phase sell out in just 10 months.

    Bob receives the Order of British Columbia for his leadership and dedication to strengthening arts and culture.

  12. Marking a major milestone, rennie & Associates Realty expands to over 100 advisors.

    Building on our commitment to technology and analytics, rennie establishes an in-house Digital division. This team custom-builds—and all the features and tools that our clients and Advisors use every day.

  13. Kris Rennie becomes the President of rennie and guides our growing business with his exceptional vision, drive, and leadership.

  14. The Intelligence division grows—collecting, analyzing and sharing key market insights to empower homebuyers, advisors, developers, and institutional clients.

  15. The rennie team grows to over 200—and we are still committed to the same standard of service that Bob built his name on. We continue to outperform in the industry with sound strategies and strong relationships founded on trust.

  16. rennie expands to a second office, r space yaletown, providing an additional opportunity for rennie advisors to service their clients.

Barkley L. Hendricks and Lorna Simpson: Collected Works

The exhibition reopens on September 11 and will run until October 16, 2021.

After an extended temporary closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic, rennie museum is thrilled to welcome visitors back this September for FREE self-guided tours by timed-entry on Saturdays. The museum is pleased to announce the long-awaited reopening of the Barkley L. Hendricks and Lorna Simpson: Collected Works exhibition, which has been carefully preserved behind closed doors since last spring. This is the first major presentation of either artist in Canada and marks the first time the two towering figures have exhibited together. Drawn entirely from the rennie collection, the exhibition includes works that span a combined 50 years of both artists’ practices, including new and never- or rarely-before seen pieces.
