rennie Team Tuesday - Negar Latifpour

Meet Negar Latifpour, new member of our growing Advisor team.

What inspired you to join rennie?
The culture - everyone works as a team and helps each other. I really love this about rennie!

What got you into the real estate industry?
It's hard to stay away from the subject when you are raised in Vancouver. The industry always fascinated me. Having parents and family who were investors allowed me to go along for the ride. I see the changes and the ups and downs of real estate as a beautiful challenge. Much like how a surfer would take advantage of a giant wave, where most people would turn away.

What do you most look forward to about coming into the rennie office?
I look forward to entering a positive and happy environment. No matter how my day is going, there are always friendly faces to greet me, and people I can count on if I need help.

What is the most rewarding part of the job?
Building amazing relationships.

What qualities do you most value in the people you surround yourself with?
Honesty is the most valuable quality in a person and I surround myself with people who share this quality.

What's one thing most people don't know about you?
I secretly work for the CIA.

How do you start your day?
I start my day with a shower and Latin music playing in the background while my coffee is brewing.

What makes a home feel like a home?
I've come to appreciate all the different ways that people make their homes feel like a home. For me, a home is an open space free from clutter. A space that is surrounded by books I've read, treasures I have gathered from my travels, and photos of those I love. "A home is not a place, it's a feeling" is a sentiment I emphasize with my clients.

What's the most memorable place you have travelled to?
India. There are too many reasons why. The lessons I learned there are priceless.

What's the first spot you go to after coming home from a trip abroad?
I like to go to Sushi Maro, which is our favourite sushi restaurant in Yaletown. Nothing beats Vancouver's sushi.

Tell us about your everyday essentials.

The necklace is from an amazing charity organization based in Iran called MAHAK that I have been supporting for the past three years. MAHAK's mission is to support children and families with cancer, such as leukemia, by offering comprehensive treatment services and guidance.

Thank you, Negar. Welcome to #teamrennie!
