21st Century Modern. The iconic Glass & Steel House! A Movie Colony East gated mini-estate 7/10ths of a mile from Palm Canyon Drive with its shops, restaurants, galleries and Uptown Design District. This unique residence set a new standard in Palm Springs in 2012 for cutting edge contemporary residential design integrating steel and sustainable building components with post-and-beam engineering common in mid-century construction. Designed by Lance O'Donnell and Martin Brunner of o2 Architecture and built by o2Build/Barton Construction in partnership with Blue Sky Building Systems. The Glass & Steel House has been lauded in newspaper and magazine articles including Palm Springs Life - February 2013. It was the setting for the Palm Springs Art Museum Architecture and Design Council's annual Welcome Back reception in October 2012, showcased during Modernism Week 2013 and in the Palm Springs Preservation Foundation's "Steel Modern After All These Years" tour.
