The little girl who was raised here was the first to discover this magic. So many visitors have noticed this unusual calm. Your eyes can rest on the living room’s large window wall and the view of the private backyard it frames. Imagine the cookouts on the brick patio, and the long ago 4 th of July firework displays on the lawn. Pets played their own version of hide and seek (with mythical creatures always invited to participate!). Off to the side is a staircase that leads to another surprise----a second level to the yard! Here there is room for a children’s playground, or a table for small al fresco dinners, or a lovely setting for the overflow of party guests. Even a hammock could be placed for sublime napping. Like an eager dance partner, it will swirl and twirl around you through the living room and dining room. It’s the very same dining room that hosted writers Ray Bradbury and Dorothy Parker for dinner. The little girl’s father was a writer too and wrote a best- selling novel in this house. The house is still overflowing with magic and charm but it does need work.
