team tuesday: Geevan Dhesi

Meet Geevan Dhesi, a Realtor with a long family history with real estate who recently joined the rennie team. Keep reading to learn about Geevan's love of travelling, animals and Nicki Minaj.


What inspired you to join rennie? 
I'm used to working with a team, and after hearing from a friend of mine at rennie how amazing the culture is, I just knew it was a team I wanted to be a part of.
 

What led you into the real estate industry? 
I worked in corporate sales for a while and wasn't passionate about it anymore. My family has always been in real estate as developers, builders, and realtors, and buying and selling our own homes a lot. Plus, I love looking at houses, so it just makes sense!

 
What’s one thing most people don’t know about you? 
Although I used to be a lifeguard, I have a fear of dark water. You just don't know what's under there.


Song you can sing word for word? 
Super Bass by Nicki Minaj– on the beat too!
 

Your favourite thing to splurge on? 
Travelling. I don't mind spending money on trips instead of material things.



 
Best beach/park/outdoor space in the city and why?
Deep Cove, because I feel like I'm in the interior when I go kayaking there instead of Vancouver


A personal mantra to live by? 
You get out of it what you put into it.
 

A stand-out travel memory and why? 
Waking up in Santorini to blue domes and ocean views as far as the eye can see


A charity you feel passionate about?
The BCSPCA and any animal rescue agency. I have a rescue pup and am a huge animal advocate.
 


Most memorable job before real estate?
 McDonald's when I was only 14 years old. It was my first job, and I learned a lot. Plus, it was a lot of fun working with a bunch of kids my age, some of whom I still keep in touch with.
 
A home project you'd like to tackle?
Kitchen renovation of one of my rental properties.
 
How do you decompress/deal with stress? 
Travel– nothing can stress me out if I'm by the ocean enjoying some peace and quiet and disconnecting.
